DOWNWARD and Forward!

For once, I am not bemoaning anything or analyzing myself or trying to pick myself up by my bootstraps....I am simply rejoicing. Yesterday I met the goal I've worked toward since Nov 1st. And today, when i was certain that the scale would be up to its old tricks of "Lose-a-pound; gain-three-back", I actually have lost one more pound...
I had been on this crazy pattern of losing two pounds and then the next day they would be right back. Back and forth; back and forth. Plus two--minus two. Finally I appealed to Coach Beth and asked her what I should do. She said that i need to jumpstart my metabolism by eating at the low end of the goal range for a day and the next day to eat at the upper end and to keep repeating that pattern.
Well, i'm at my dad's where I normally gain at least 2 pounds and usually more....so eating at the high range was not exceptionally difficult...although he has no snack food in the house and nothing sweet except for cereal....so snacking is not really possible. But at any rate...Beth's plan worked, almost immediately.
So: DOWNward and FORWARD!
