National Puzzle Day

This week for the A&I Buddy Support Group Challenge, we were asked to blog about 1 of 3 topics. National Puzzle Day or exercising outdoors during the winter months or a topic or our choosing. As you probably guessed from the title of my blog, I chose to blog about National Puzzle Day.
Exercise your brain with a puzzle. January 29th is National Puzzle Day. Whether it is a crossword, jigsaw, trivia, word search, brain teasers, or Soduku, puzzles put our minds to work. Do you enjoy puzzles? What kind of puzzles do you like?
When I was a kid I loved to do word searches. I tried crossword puzzles as a kid but wasn't good at it.
I remember back in the 80's when the game Trivial Pursuit came out. I really wanted one and got a teen edition when I was in high school. It didn't get played hardly at all though because no one wanted to play with me.
When Sodoku came out I played a game every day. The year before last when we were renting a house, a portion of the local newspaper for the northern part of the city was delivered to the houses in the area for free once a week. It always had a Sudoku puzzle and a crossword puzzle in it. I usually did both. Now that we live in a different area, it doesn't get delivered here. I don't really have the time anymore to do them so I guess it's okay that we don't get that portion of the newspaper where we live now.
