A whole different life!

It is hard to believe that just three weeks ago we got to Florida and there was so much to do! The house was basically a construction zone and thankfully we had our bed assembled. Three short weeks later it feels like a home! got the falling down screen porch taken away and the patio washed; with some simple chairs we now have lovely outdoor space.
The days are different from home although they all start the same....Fletcher hops on the bed to wake us up and give us kisses and get his morning pets. Then I take him out to do "his business" and he comes in for breakfast. Tea and the news for me and after breakfast he gets his walk. What is different is that my partner comes with us and we get a much longer walk around here. Our development is large so there are many different ways to go and Fletcher's favorite is to head to where some golfers start to see his friend Toby who pets him and gives him treats. Fletcher's whole body is wagging when he sees Toby.
After our walk we usually head to the gym. I'll skip is some days when I've done a lot of walking the day before. Lunch at home most days although have to say nothing beats having lunch on the water!
We still have a lots to do in the house and Thursday we finally got our guest bathroom done. The plumber was disappointed that he couldn't use the "arm" for the shower head that goes with the tub hardware. We just wanted it done! Now have a working shower.
Met with folks this week to start the ball rolling for the kitchen. Glad I waited because I really like the footprint and where the appliances are. That really cuts down on renovation costs.
Last night we went to a new member cocktail party and dinner and met lots of great people. Going to a Super Bowl party on Sunday. We even tried croquet!
It's a very relaxed way of living with so much time out doors. Almost everyone is so friendly.
Dipping my toe into intuitive eating and finding that I actually want a little more meat, fish or chicken. Still tracking because I'm so used to it. Weight down a tad and think that is all the walking. Feel great!
and that's it from Florida. do not miss NY or the cold!
