New Exercises

Went back to the Y Center yesterday after my mini vacation last week. And since I’d been having so much fun walking at the mall I decided to do both as my workout. Walking a mile at the Y takes 16 laps. Just one lap that incorporates 3 stores too is 1-1/2 miles. So I did my weights and the bike at the Y then drove to the mall and walked 2 laps (plus a little extra just to move my FitBit to the next thousand steps - I was sooo close). I felt fantastic and I worked out longer than ever before. Plus I used some new machines that I hadn’t tried before because, it turns out, the weight room is pretty empty if you go there first before all the downtown people show up. I had first choice on the bikes too which was awesome emoticon

But last night I could already feel those new exercises had worked some muscles that weren’t used to being used. My forearms ached, my toes, my feet, my thighs, my shoulders. It was great and I can’t wait to do it again today. There is that heavy rope thing I’ve always wanted to try....
