Goals & Gratitude 2/6/20

Thursday, February 06, 2020

I can't believe I haven't blogged in so long! I've missed everyone! I've been super busy so I haven't been sparking as much as I usually do. With the diverticulitis, I felt rotten for a week solid and didn't feel good again until last Saturday. I'm finally back to my old self!

Exciting news-- I landed an internship with an accounting firm! I start as soon as the class I'm in is over, which is just one more week. I will driving to Orange County Tuesdays and Thursdays to spend the day at a firm learning the ins and outs of corporate accounting and taxes. I cannot wait to start! I am so grateful to Lauren at church who set this up for me. I had been wracking my brain trying to find someone who could help me out with volunteer opportunities and I'm so glad I thought of her. And she talked to her boss today and everything is set up and ready to go.

Class is going really well. I am in Business Law 2. I only have about 10 days left and then I am done. I have been working through the work steadily and not letting myself get behind. I will be glad to be done as I will have a two month break from classes then. I can't wait! I will be able to devote myself to my internship and general job hunting. And I can do some projects around the house I need to do.

Besides that, not much is new. Cookie is doing well on the steroids. As long as she takes them, she doesn't throw up. I have about 15 days worth of pills left and I will call the vet at that point and see what Dr. Ross wants to do. Tang is also still on steroids for the wheezing. It seems to be helping. He didn't wheeze at all until we stopped the pills, so he is back on them again too. Hopefully I won't have to take either one into the office anytime soon as that is super traumatic.

Today I'm Grateful For...
1) Lauren and answered prayers.
2) That the weather is perfect out for walking.
3) That I'm finally back to my old self.
