Today I met with my doctor to go over the results of my blood work. First, my A1c is 6.2 and my cholesterol levels are still a little high. But overall, we are pleased with my progress and will take my blood again in 6 months. I explained to her that the pounds are not coming off the way I think they should considering my change in bad habits from when I started in November. However, she reminded and reassured me that given the fact that I am losing inches, the number of pounds showing on the scale don't really matter that much. Muscle weighs more than fat...and I know for a fact that I am building muscle with all the exercise I have been doing on a regular basis. I do need to cut back more on carbs and dairy products to help bring my cholesterol numbers down. Bummer. I LOVE my baked potatoes and CHEESE. But, I will work harder on that starting today.
