Getting OUTSIDE on a Sunday morning!
Sunday, February 16, 2020
Very decent running morning here in Philly - mid 30s at start, low wind, single layer day (Coldgear, but still single layer) made for a very pleasant run mostly on the Schuykill River Trail (against the mild wind going out so it would be behind me on the way back, though it was fairly negligible in both directions). The river made for pleasant scenery and it was sunnyish most of the way. I had 5-6 miles "penciled in" on my plan, and it was so nice out I did the full 6. My legs had some pep after two easy days, so I let them run a bit for a 10:15 pace overall.
Back home, clean, under my favorite throw, and looking forward to that post-run chocolate protein shake as soon as my I.F. window opens.
Mostly lazy day ahead, but I really MUST do some more laundry (got one load done yesterday so I'd have running clothes - YAY) and get out to the local running store for some energy gels. I have a long run penciled into the plan for tomorrow and for that, I'll need a couple of gels. I know I'll regret it if I don't have them - and the walk to get them will give me those 10 extra fitness minutes for my daily challenge. MUST GO. Must. Must.
For my "green" goal for the day - must also remember to take a reusable bag along for my purchases. They aren't just for grocery shopping any more!
But mostly a lazy day... Coffee. Book. Throw. Recline. Protein shake. It's a good day.
