Day 14: no sugary snacks

Almost at day 15.

Two weeks.

The temptation was really strong today. I ended the day with a small piece of dark chocolate.
Also managed a nice run. I'm busy building up my distance again after all this travelling I have been doing. I'm thinking about doing 2 half marathons this Summer. Originally I had wanted to try my hand at a marathon, but I think I should leave that for next year. Just get myself fit again.

My weight has slipped up again - just a little bit. Still not as dramatic as it has been. Just made me wonder if the loss was more to do with water loss, or something.

Two things I have on my mind, though: one, is whether I have lost my sense of humour, or not! And if I have, where has it gone and how do I get it back. The second, is my tendency to focus on the negative. Like my brain shifts to what has been unsuccessful, rather than all the reasons it was a good day. And all the reasons I can look at this day and this little project as something very, very good.

There's a lot to be said for simply re-gaining control over my eating patterns, which is what I'm doing. One step at a time.

    No way your sense of humor has been lost! Gone underground? Maybe. Lost? Nah.

    Is your work focused on problem solving requiring extensive critical thinking? If so, understand the tendency to focus on the negative. That's how problems get resolved: identify what's not working and go about addressing it.
