Tryin' to cut 100 calories per day

... and the goal should ' to cut 100 calories per day permanently.
Well, today I fixed a breakfast (when I am consciously trying to be healthier) that is typical for me: Morningstar Veggies patties ( 110 cal/per patty) and a piece a fruit. Today a whole, fresh pear. Mmm.
However, typically I fix two patties and handily eat them both.Today, I just microwaved one patty and am trying to drink more water as I eat my breakfast. I can always fix the other patty if I am hungry. We'll see if this ends up counting as my 100-calorie cut for the day. If I eat a zone bar, I will just eat 2/3 of the bar like I did yesterday. Cutting out a third of a zone bar saves me 70 calories.
