Feeling a little better today, whatever I had isn't completely gone. Feeling kinda down lately, had to force myself to get out of the house today. The sun was out, still a bit cold though. Still it felt good to go for a short drive, put gas in the car and get some cat food and a few other things. Not an actual grocery trip, just a few items. Sweetie and I have been taking care of one of our neighbors cats.. they seam to not care about her much. Last summer we discovered that the cat Coca is her name had found a way to get under our house and has been living down there. We asked around and found out that Coca belonged to one of our neighbors. We contacted them to let them know their cat was at our house. Once winter started to come we let Coca into our backroom out of the winter weather, as her owners seemed unconcerned about her. We noticed that Coca was ripping her fur out and biting her side, to the point where she had an open wound. We contacted her owner to let them know that something was wrong. The owner came to our house and got her cat and supposedly took her to the vet, and then brought Coca back to our house instead of taking her home. Over the months Coca's side starts to heal up and then she rips it open again.. still nothing more from her owner. So today we decided to take her to our own vet.. I feel sortof guilty about taking someone else's pet to the vet, but clearly she is unconcerned about her cat. The vet gave Coca a couple of vaccinations and put a cone on her to keep her from biting at her side, and told us how to treat her wound to help it heal. Anyway, 3 good things about today 1 - I got out of the house today. 2 - We finally got some answers about Coca 3 - we had meatless Monday, Homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner with broccoli. I stuck to my meal plan for today. Mission accomplished, lol.
