Made it through my cycle with little PMS symptoms (way less than usual), and practicaly ZERO cravings. I can't remember the last time that happened.
Friday I went to lunch with a friend and decided to "live it up" and had 2 drinks and a mushroom quesadilla (along with some other stuff). It was my first time drinking alcohol in a month and the first time I had cheese in about 4-6 weeks... my stomach was killing me the rest of the night, I was so uncomfortable. As much fun as that wasn't... it was good to experiene in hindsight because it's a great reminder that my stomach just doesn't handle dairy well, which is part of the reason why being plant based works so well for me - my body reacts really well to being plant based and for the most part (other than some social aspects) it was a really easy transition for me.
For the rest of the month of February I'm going to avoid the grocery store, other than for staples that I could run out of like my nutmilk and coffee creamer. I have plenty of food in my apartment to live off of and use up for the rest of the month - I especially need to get through some of that frozen fruit I have that's taking up so much space and not getting used often.
I'm still winning my war with the scale by avoiding stepping on it! I do plan on getting on it in the beginning of March and see what it says, but my clothes feel good so I'm a happy girl. I'm doing great with portion control and getting in more veggies than ever before.
