9th Street Bridge - 2-26-20

Wednesday, February 26, 2020

Susan Day Phillips stopped to take a photo of the bridge at 9th Street:

You can see the Yampa is still open on this section, as it is downstream from the hot springs. It has been COLD today so very little melting going on!

I've been keeping an eye on DH. He had his shingles shot today, and they told him 25% of the folks have a significant reaction to it, feeling pretty punk for several days. Since a friend of mine ended up passing out and falling after her shot (and ended up in the hospital with a broken bone) I figured I'd better keep tabs on how DH is REALLY feeling!

Wow I never knew the shot could have that kind of reaction. I had shingles once and it is super painful. The only other thing that was more painful in my life was child birth. I am not exaggerating either!

My dad had more trouble with his shingles shot than my mom did. Hope DH does well with his.

Good to keep an eye on DH. Many people get flu-like symptoms. REst, rest, rest.

And yess, to answer SLIMMER's question, it is a 2-part vaccination. The 2nd one is to be gotten w/in 3 months of the 1st one.

Both DH and I had it and were laid low for 2 days, but no really bad affects.

    Good luck. Stay hydrated.
