Tracking food answering a lot of questions

In the past I have kept half-hearted food trackings, beginning each morning and ending long before evening snacks crept in, thinking that my activity levels were making up for any over-indulgences. Weight didn't go up much, but didn't go down much either, more or less maintaining within a 2 pound range either way. The honest food tracking I've done this time around reveals that I am actually at that maintenance range or slightly above most days. On the whole, my choices are pretty healthy, but the calories in and out still do matter. Seeing patterns I need to address.
