Husband's Kidney Infection

Saturday, February 29, 2020

I didn't post basically at all yesterday because I spent 10 hours at the ER with my husband. We rushed him in when he started to complain of severe lower back pain, pain in his groin and when he's urinating. We were afraid it may have been a hernia because he works construction. Luckily that was not the case and it was just a kidney infection. They prescribed him antibiotics and pain medication. So he can go back to work on Monday. As happy as I am that it wasn't something worse and he can go back to work, I'm sad because he works in Yuma AZ on the boarder fence. He only gets to come home a couple of times a month and I'm left with 5 kids all by my self. Luckily my best friend (who is also my oldest daughter's step mom) comes over often and is a huge help. Still I miss my husband terribly when he's gone and what makes it worse is that he won't be home for our 5 year wedding anniversary; but his health and occupation are more important.

It's good it wasn't something more serious, but I can surely understand your sadness that you'll be on your own with the children and he won't be there for your anniversary. I'm glad you have a best friend who helps. I like MARYJOANNA's idea to celebrate later when he's home again. emoticon

What a great job he is doing but sorry to hear he won't be at home for your anniversary. Perhaps celebrate later when he is home.
