Preventing heart disease

Saturday, February 29, 2020

There are many ways to prevent heart disease
1 Eat healthy
2 don't smoke
3 limit alcohol intake
4 work out regularly
5 limit stress

But there are other factors like hereditary which means you really have to pay attention to blood pressure, cholesterol, keep regular Dr appointments. Know your facts. Both my Dad , who died at the age of60, and also had a pig valve replacement about 10 years prior to that and my favorite uncle on my mom's side died from heart attacks. Women need to know that a heart attack symptom is not like a man's typical symptoms of chest pain, excessive sweating, and feeling heavy pressure on the chest. Women usually feel arm pain and between the shoulder blades and into the jaw with some indigestion feeling.

It is a good idea to get your CPR certificate. You never know when you can save a person's life.

Great blog. You are so right about symptoms for men and women being different. We all need to be aware of them.

Working out regularly is what is so important for your heart. All of these things are important but we have to work it like any muscle....only its a major muscle that determines if we live or not

Yes! My dad and his side all had heart issues but they all drank and smoked and I don’t do either. I’m also not way overweight and take much better care so hoping to prevent it for sure! I just learned the jaw pain thing the other day too!
