"We all play a small part in something bigger"

When son got up yesterday, he was filled with news. The Dean closed ALL campus buildings. My son LOL and said maybe this was his way of dealing with the teachers making us stay here and work. He said a bit later his teacher emailed. He said she wanted them to pick up their projects and do their projects from their homes still in their 3 small groups. His group has no projects to pick up, there project has to do with doing things on the campus land which they are not allowed to be on. So the female (who is now living in the barn stables) was going to email the teacher. This female is one smart cookie and has told them if we turn her in, she could loss her licenses for making us do this. Unsure yet what is going to happen!

My son is still headed back in a week because at this point he hasn't heard what the other teachers are going to do yet. The Dean has assured them no matter what, they will graduate.

The school has cancelled graduations but are trying to come up with another way to celebrate.

Thank you for your prayers. Your prayers are working! I am now praying my son's work load will be at a level where he can finish the year from here. He said one male did go home and is staying home as far as he knows. One guy (who is in one of the 10 in his group) is refuses to go home because his parent's are pushing 60 and will expect him to help them around the house if he goes home. My son is confused as to why he would not go home and help his parent's. 2 in the house work full time-his girlfriend at Costco. If any employees at Costco get it, they will close down and she will be quarantined along with the house. One is a student who also works at Walmart. Please pray that my son will understand he is safer moving home and finishing his college year from home then he is from that house full of germs. He has already said how his house is crawling with germs! He was shocked when he walked in and I started to wash all the food in warm soapy water!

Rules are changing every day. If they issue a stay-put order, he may not get to come home. Home with you is where he should be. So many things have been canceled: proms, graduations, birthday parties. Here in MO the governor banned all gatherings with more than 10 people. Here's hoping that DS has seen and read enough about this virus that he will stay with you and be safe. emoticon emoticon

WTH is wrong w/that teacher!?? That’s just ridiculous that she insists they pick up their projects and do them from home when your DS’s group project involves doing things on the campus property! Hope things get resolved. If the Dean has assured them they will graduate no matter what, HOPEFULLY your DS will remain put! Fingers crossed, prayers.

Yes, I heard that the UW system cancelled graduations.

Continuing to pray that things will happen in a positive way! Yes, for sure your DS is safer @ home than in the house on campus!
