No, not the soap opera.....just every day changes we are all encountering.
Yesterday was a great day here in Florida. Started with a walk with Fletcher and then headed to an open air service at the chapel where we were all in golf carts maintaining social distancing. Since Sunday is my rest day exercise-wise took some short leisurely walks. Most days I've been getting at least 20,000 steps and take a 30 minute high intensity walk. Doing stretching and meditation too.
In the afternoon we took Fletcher in the golf cart and took a spin around the property. My brother who also lives here said they did that too and ran into a group of friends meeting for cocktails. Each couple in their own golf cart with wine and appetizers grouped outside at least 6 feet apart. They do it every evening.
Here in Martin County we didn't have a case until about a week ago and now we have 2. Being extra careful. After taking Fletcher out at 6:45 a.m. I dressed and went to the grocery store for senior hours only to learn that those had been stopped & the store wouldn't open til 8. Signed up on line for delivery and we'll see what I get on Wednesday.
We've been taking a gentle stroll after dinner. Get to see the sunset which seems to fill the entire sky. tonight we ordered That food from a favorite place which we want to support. Will keep doing that.
We are all in this together and every day is a challenge. It is also a chance for us to be kind to others and ourselves. Making sure I reach out by phone to friends to keep the social fabric alive and well.
Sending a virtual hug to you all.
