Writing Real Letters, Would You Like One?

Tuesday, March 24, 2020

I do so love the art of a letter! I remember back in the day when I used to get ‘real’ letters in the mail from friends and family, I had an aunt who would write to me from Florida. I was in Michigan so it was super exciting to get letters from Florida and letters at all. I had a pen pal from Long Island New York and that was fun as well. Some were hand written letters I received and some were typed on a typewriter.

I’ll be making some more stationery and mailing out letters this week. Work has pretty much stopped for now, so it will be nice just to sit and create and hand write and type some letters out. It’s nice you can even order stamps online and have them delivered.

Would you like a letter? Maybe you’re bored, or lonely or just want some real mail! If so, private message me your address and I will get a letter out to you.

My best letter-writing partner was my Aunt, now deceased. My handwriting deteriorates quickly, so if I have a lot to say, I type.

What a wonderful idea for these times! I'm still a letter writer, but most friends respond by email or text. I still have note cards and stationery in my drawers from the 70s and 80s. I use it proudly and last year I sent out the last of some Holly Hobbie notecards. Does anyone remember her from American Greetings?

I also have Current products that friends used to sell, cards, wrapping paper, etc. I wonder if they are still in business? emoticon
