Lots of changes

Tuesday, March 24, 2020

There have been so many changes in my life since becoming a member here. However, one thing that hasn't changed is my love of health and fitness and helping others. I finally did it, and have started working as a Certified Personal Trainer one on one. then had to stop due to the Corona Virus. I am helping them via text, email, phone etc.

My husband passed away a few years ago and that took its toll. I miss him still and always will, he was my biggest supporter.

I closed my Curves franchise after 8 years. I am sad it had to happen but happy with the decision, life is easier. I started working full time 4 months after my retirement as an assistant manager at a dollar store. . I missed people. That will change next week when I start part time at the local bank. I am also a travel agent in training...lol, studying that now. I guess I like to be busy and really don't see retirement in my future. I hope you are all doing well, stay safe and active. Hugs. emoticon

Just reading this and I am so happy you have reconnected with SparkPeople. My husband died suddenly in 2017 so I understand what you are going through, I wouldn't "have missed the dance" no matter how my heart aches for him every day.

Stay safe as we travel through the coronavirus pandemic. Have fun in your newest endeavors and continue to touch base with all your SparkPeople friends.

Retirement is a funny stage of life, isn't it? I am blessed to still have my husband with me but I don't take if for granted. He has had a run of severe issues these later years. The 24/7 retirement is indeed a challenge - but at least we do spend a LOT of our time together at Disney - a few times a week.

Congrats on the Travel Industry journey you are pursuing. I too have started a Home based business. It's been a lot to learn - all On-Line is a fun adventure.

Wish you much success in your fitness and Banking AND travel - that's wonderful!!!

Praying for you - in those lonely bursts of grief that I am sure still hit you when not prepared.
