My Adventures in Spark Land...Day 1 of Wisconsin shut down is over!

"Kindness begins with me"

Today is day 2 of WI shut down. Today is sunny and trying to reach 50. Yesterday it was raining or rather sprinkling. I did my daily walk to the mailbox and that was it.

I did attempted to watch 'Alice in Wonderland' from 1951. I say attempted because I fell asleep many times watching it.

I did look up our 10th president...John Tyler. Apparently his grandson was born in 1928. My head was spinning as I tried to grasp as to how. I did find a video of his grave site.

My son spend the day with my brother and family. When he came home, I tried to talk to him. I came to the realization that he is not going to understand until he has kids and I am died. If then! I ended up spending a restless night praying for my son!

The 3 grandparent's didn't think I should raise my son. When he went off to college, I started to make plans to move out of this area. He told me he still needed me. When he graduates, he wanted me to move where he moved to, etc, All of a sudden he feels this isn't his home, he wants to go off with his room mates who he never gets along with. Holidays mean nothing to him. As far as he is concern if he could place me (age 55) is a nursing home where someone could care for me 24/7, he would be happy just paying the bill! All he feels I do all day is sit and watch TV anyhow! Nice huh? All his class mates from HS are coming home from college and staying with their parent's until they find a job but according to my son, that isn't the 'norm'!

On to day 2 of WI shut down.

I'm so sorry about your situation. The children will go their own way regardless of the consequences. The virus situation is not going to help with the job search. That must be stressful for him.

Keep praying. Stay safe. Be well. emoticon emoticon

Sorry about your son's attitude. Maybe some of that is him worrying about being able to find a job. I am just putting that out there.

It is pretty usual for kids that age to thing we 'older folks' don't have much to do Little do they know, and some don't really 'get it' till they get to be our age.

Hang in there. Stay safe, stay well.

Our state has been closed for over a week now. I don't mind the evenings at home. We normally are at home during this time. However, except for walking outdoors, I hate not being able to do things that I enjoy. But this is all necessary for the health of our nation.

I am so sorry about your son. We will keep praying.

The webs we weave emoticon . My sister used to stay home and cook Thanksgiving dinner emoticon for her children and grandchildren. She wouldn't think about traveling. Present day: they are grown and spending Friendsgiving ( is that even a word?). Now, she eats out, no cooking nor cleaning to be done! Family is always someplace we should be able to return to. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
