Yesterday was a bit of a downer for me at least for part of the day. We had to have some work done in the house and we had the workers wear gloves and we stayed outside. It took longer than we wanted and were getting antsy just sitting around although I went out for short walks every hour. When they left I waited for awhile then disinfected everything so fingers crossed.
Even though I cancelled dinner with my brother thanks to comments from my Spark friends (a big
) I decided to make the dinner I was going to make. That made all the difference! got everything ready, did my sautéing and chopping. Didn't get the beans I needed but had something I could substitute. Cooking is a pleasure for me. Simmered it and then got a glass of wine and met my brother and his wife in the driveway. they understood my cancelling dinner and drove up with their wine in their golf cart. We were at least 10 ft apart and had a good hour where we just caught up, laughed and shared some stores about their kids. they drove off and I went in to finish dinner. Turned out to be delicious - you can get it on nytimes.com "Shrimp and white beans with fennel and pancetta". Did somevsubstituting.
Today has been GREAT! Loved our walk this morning then I went out for my own walk. got back in time for a 30 minute yoga class on Facebook offered by Silver Sneakers. will check out more of their classes.
We took the car out for a long ride along the beach and looked at the gorgeous houses. Home now and have zen-like music on which is very relaxing.
Each day is different and staying positive is so important. We can get through this. yes we can!
