My Adventures in Spark Land...Day 4 of Wisconsin shut down is over!

Sunday, March 29, 2020

"Don't be afraid of your fears. They're not there to scar you. They're there to let you know something is worth it." ~C. Joybell

Day 4 of Wisconsin shut down (which is different then the 14 day shut down President Trumpet gave us) is over. It's in the history books!

emoticon I got up yesterday morning and decided to bag up all the food my son brought home and sent at all back with him. I had a talk with my aunt about it. The food he got me is not food I would ever in my life eat. It's all food his GF would eat!!! Canned fruits and veggies-I grew up on those and grew up hating fruits and veggies! When I moved to Lacrosse, I discovered fresh and frozen fruits and veggies and I loved them. Soup mixes-we grew up having soup and sandwiches daily in the summer for lunch every day and having soup from soup for dinner all winter long! It was easy for mom to throw the soup started in the croak pot before we all left for the day and come home to a meal already prepared. To this day, my brother and I will not eat soup. Tuna fish and crackers-my mom was on WW all the time growing up. She ate tons of tuna fish. The crackers my son loves not me. Fruit snacks-my son loved those not me. 20 bars of soap-I grew up on bar soap. Huge thing of Dawn dish soap-I have 2 things of apple scent dish soap. I like cherry and apple scent only. My Aunt said by his age he should know what you will and will not eat! That's the thing, he doesn't know me! For years it was pounded in his brain info about all 3 grandparent's. When my dad was put into a home, I thought this is my time! Time for my son and I to bond. Nope, it was time for him and his GF to bond! My heart hurt so much this week knowing my son doesn't know me and when I tried to talk to him about it, I learned he doesn't want to know me.

emoticon My brother and family met us at my parent's and we all cleaned. The funnest part was finding a scrap book my mom made from my baby shower. My niece read my given name and middle name and said 'who is that?' She said she never even thought that the name she calls me is short for something else. My niece is 18 and a Freshman in college! We laughed so hard. I told my aunt and she said 'you've got to be kidding! That's funny!' It was funny but it is also sad that no one in my family has taken the time to know me!!!

emoticon After my son left, I watched my one Disney movie of the day. I tried looking up Zachery Taylor our 12th present on U-tube. I did find videos of his grave stone. I found 1 video of his home. Pres Taylor died in office after eating something. Many people felt he was poison. In 1991 they had his body exhumed and tested but they couldn't find any prof. I then watched the new spring fling movie and went to bed.

emoticon Last night the wind picked up and it started to rain. At 1st I felt uneasy as it was high winds also. Then I found myself sleeping. I put on my PJ and slept really good last night for the 1st time in 3 weeks. Between the virus and my son, I have not slept well. My aunt told me just to keep praying for him because his girlfriend really has him brain washed!!! Thank goodness last night my niece was snap chatting me because my son wouldn't!!! I am 100% sure his GF bad mouthed me about the food issue. As I was praying, something came to my mind. In times of crises like the world is in now, people show they're real selves. I started to pray that my son will see his GF real self during this time.

emoticon Yes I woke to snow this morning! Still very windy What a way to start day 5 of Wisconsin shut down!

emoticon I am doing a Lent Devotional. At the end of it, has a act of kindness. Since my son has 40 days left, I thought I'd start at the beginning and add their kind act suggestion at the end of my blog:

*Write a note, email, or text message to someone who has gone before you and made your life better!

Sending the food back is a good idea. If you won't eat it and they will, it won't go to waste. You are not responsible for their feelings.

Waking to snow. Ugh! That's a nightmare. It's been windy here yesterday and today, but today was dry and sunny. There's nothing like a good night's sleep.

Hang in there my friend. Stay safe. Be well. Tomorrow is a new day. emoticon emoticon

I need to remember this one while shopping at times and with an other 30 days in front of us . we just need to remember to pray before we go out and wash our hands before and after.

I live the act of kindness suggestion , but I will have to send a card . My aunt is in her 90s and I don’t believe she has email ! So a handwritten note is what she will love 💕! Great idea Princess

**SIGH** Well, good you bagged up the things they brought since it's not your taste anyhow. Otherwise it would be a constant reminder.

Keeping your son in my prayers, too. It's difficult.
