Stress!!

Friday, April 10, 2020

Why is it so difficult to please some people? The lady I sit with is never satisfied with anything! From not enough done here in the house to her yard!! The lawn man does a fine job and the house is spotless yet she complains all the time!! Some people are so unthankful and appreciative! We buy her things for the holidays. For Easter and Mother’s Day we purchased a wreath and matching bow for her porch. We each paid $33. She said she was tired if sh!t being brought into her house to other people and to one of my co workers. So no more gifts! God forgive me! I pray daily to not be like that. Lord help me!!!!

The never satisfied client is a challenge to care for. They find fault in the smallest things because they see life half empty instead of half full. I'm sorry you have such a client. I've had a few of those myself. It is not wrong of you to NOT spend your hard earned money on holiday gifts for someone who considers your gifts as trash. She's your client, not your mother. Try to remember that. If she complains that no one brings her gifts, its only your job to remind her to talk to her family about that.

The words, "I'm sorry you feel that way," is the only real reply to a complaining personality. God bless you for the tireless work you do. Doing what's right helps us live with ourselves, eh?

Sadly according to her family she’s always been like this.

It is hard to be around people like that, but I suspect she's terrified of old age, dying, and lashes out from her fear. Your awareness of such an attitude probably means you'd never be that way. I hope you can find a way to be at peace in your job.

My mom is elderly and I thank God every day that she is for the most part a happy and thankful person even with her dementia. She has her days but for the most part she is still sweet and funny. I hope I never became unappreciative of people. Take care and just continue your great work! Hopefully her family appreciates you.

I appreciate you. Some are like that. Just whatever you do. Do it in gods name. You will feel less stung by those comments.
