Busy, Busy, Busy

Wednesday, April 15, 2020

Most people have found that their lives have slowed way down during this nationwide pandemic. Mine has done just the opposite. My work involves trying to get everyone set up to work from home efficiently and that has been a real challenge.

For myself, I do not have sufficient internet connection in order to perform efficiently from home. I am working with my internet provider but it's been a challenge. Whoever said that deregulation (specifically communications industry, which used to be only telephone) was the greatest thing since sliced bread, needs to really re-evaluate. I mean the positives are that almost everyone now uses a cellphone but customer service has went way out to some other galaxy! Trying to talk to a live person is very painful. I have timed it and found that it takes anywhere from 30 minutes minimum to over a hour.....who has time for that!?!??!

My weight loss is non-existent. The period of Lent in which I chose to eliminate desserts is now over and there were no pounds lost emoticon I must find some other way to get my body into gear. I'm no longer eating out and really try to make good choices. It seems that I'm just stuck at this weight and my stubborn body doesn't want to let go of the excess. So sad!!

I wish everyone the best days ahead and pray that this crisis is over soon.

I so agree with you on this so called modern technology, just go to the Dr. they spend 30 minutes with you and they spend 90% of the time with you on the computer and maybe get a "how are you doing" in there sometime and they have no idea what you looked like when you left, when years ago you spent 15 minutes with them and they even know if you have a hang nail before you left. The Medical technology have really gotten horrible all because someone thought the computer would save so much time, NOT.

Yes, I find it helps to keep busy and also to exercise. Sometimes I do want to shoot the scale though :).
