Spring Family Time
Friday, April 17, 2020
Some months on the calendar are more hectic than most. These are the months that have holidays and other important days mixed together. Most people would immediately thing of the November - December months to be particularly busy. And, it is a busy time for me too with Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas. (My family is an interfaith family) . There is a lot of celebrating and eating. Then February rolls around and we have my B-day along with Valentine's day. I always struggle with my weight loss plan until after February. I always breathe a sigh of relieve after Valentine's day.
However, Spring time probably is the busiest time for me, especially for a tax accountant.
This year we had Passover, Easter, then the April 15 deadline (which was extend to July 15 but the government started more programs due to COVID-19 that it caused just as much work but not tax related ) and then my DD's birthday all within days of each other. In the past we have always done some of the celebrations by going out to eat. This year due to COVID-19 we actually hosted small family get togethers - under 10 people. Getting together with family was so much fun. However, I have spent more time cooking, cleaning and rearranging furniture (so we did not sit so close together at the dining table) in a long time that I forgot how exhausting it can be....next year hopefully, we can get back to celebrating in a sit-down restaurant.
