DIAGNOSIS OF WHAT?!!

Friday, April 17, 2020

When I was up in North Carolina this last time as a witness in a trial, I received a call from the Dermatologist's office in the town where I live and they gave me the results of a biopsy they had performed on my back and the diagnosis was cancer. Yes, you read it correctly!!! When I was given that diagnosis I laughed at the nurse and she wanted to make sure that I was in the right frame of mind and had not slipped off the deep end from the news. When she asked if I was okay I told her that I was perfect!!! She asked me why I was laughing and I just told her that God was getting ready to do another miracle in this temple of his!!!

A week went by before God reminded me not to pray a blanket prayer and I realized that I would have to call and get the name of the cancer that I had been diagnosed with. This is what I was told that I had.

Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is a rare type of cancer, a soft tissue sarcoma that develops in the deep layers of skin. It is sometimes described as having tentacles that can grow into surrounding fat, muscle and even bone.

DFSP is a rare tumor of the dermis layer of the skin, and is classified as a sarcoma. There is only about one case per million per year. DFSP is a fibrosarcoma, more precisely a cutaneous soft tissue sarcoma.

Usually you find these type of sarcomas on your arms or legs but mine is on my back.

The nurse asked me why I called back to get the name and I explained that God was keeping His promise to me that He made to me back in 2012. I let her know that I wanted to know the name of the cancer so I could name it and give it to God. I told her that God has already taken care of my miracle in the spiritual realm but for Him to manifest it in the physical realm I had to take that first step of faith and that was to see the surgeon when I got back home. I told her that I didn't know how short or how long this cancer season would be but I knew at the end of the journey the miracle would be manifested!!!

My step of faith was yesterday, April 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm. The surgeon sat me down and he was very kind and considerate and explained everything to me about the cancer including the fact that if this cancer had tenacles it would be tricky because they would be thin stringy fibers that can often be missed and the cancer would come back immediately. The only question that I asked him was why it was on my back rather than my legs or arms and he told me that he had no idea why that was and very few people get this type of cancer on their trunk. I thanked him for his honesty and he had me prepped for the surgical procedure.

The surgeon told me that he wouldn't make me wait the two weeks to get the results back from the surgery so he did the biopsy slides and dyes right there in the office while they made me as comfortable as possible for another hour and a half. I spent that time walking back and forth in the exam room singing, praising, and praying to God. He came in and told me that he got ALL the cancer including the tenacles!!! I SCREAMED for JOY!!!!

He then asked me if this was my first cancer and I told him yes and then he made a statement of me having neurofibroma and I told him that I did and that I have had at least eight of those removed from different areas of my body. I could see the wheels turning in his head thinking if there is a link between me having neurofibroma and the type of cancer that he removed from my back. So, he will be doing some homework and in the mean time, I will be getting the stitches out of my back in two weeks.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!!

Thank you for reading this long blog!!!

Blessings!
