Had Neck Fusion Surgery

Tuesday, April 21, 2020

I had surgery Nov 20. Last year I had been having issues with one or other arm going numb, & was dropping items rather frequently. So, went to my pain management doc about it, where he had an MRI, which showed significant impingement of the spinal column. So, they went in through the front of the neck. Up until the beginning of last month, I had been wearing a hard neck brace 24/7 since surgery, not allowed to lift more than 8 lbs (or approx a gallon of milk). I've had no help from family, & no local friends to help either. Home health care lasted roughly 6 weeks.

Needless to say I've not been too good about healthy eating, nor have I been able to do any real exercise. So, I decided I'd come back here & try to do at least somewhat better with the food. Or at the very least stay accountable by logging everything.

I cried when I came back to this site. As I remember how much work I had put into the last attempt. Here's hoping...

Hey! I have that same scar😁. I have had 2 cervical spine fusions and 2 lower lumbar spine fusions. That was from 2011-2015. Doing rather well now💪. Good luck on your Spark journey 😁👍. Be well and safe and keep the faith 🙏
