Time Goes By So Fast

Saturday, April 25, 2020

I apologize for not posting in a few weeks. It seems like so much is going on at once. Dealing with the lockdown and still seeing the numbers rise. People anxious to go outside or back to work, which I get, but we are simply not there yet.

The biggest remark that makes me mad is when they say "People die everyday". That is true, but what they fail to realize is that it sounds like they do not care. Even worse is that people are not simply just dying. They die alone because no family or friends can be there with them. Please give thought before you speak.

My favorite one yet is when they say "It is only the elderly and ill that are dying." Like my life is expendable because I have chronic illness. Something which I did not ask for, nor can I help. Not to mention that it is not just elderly and chronically ill people that are dying.

Other than that I have been making plans with the stimulus money. There is things that I need. Like a toaster over, clothes, things like that. Of course, I do have a few wants that I am getting as well. Any money left I will hold on too for future emergencies.

How are all of you? Did you get your stimulus yet, and what did you get with it??? :)

They haven't given me my stimulus money yet. Everyone else I know has already got theirs. My plans are to spend it on dental and/or orthodontic treatment. My insurance doesn't pay for jack.

If everyone wore a mask, we could open up more, maybe. But you can't do that with indoor dining, I know. It's sad. I was an usher, a volunteer one. Now I do nothing, but watch movies and play video games 24/7. I'm going crazy! I hate being inside ALL THE TIME! Oh, well. It's sad a lot of restaurants are closing, and farmers are throwing food out. It's a crazy time all around! I won't feel right until I'm an usher again, whenever that will be. It was a good time, when I was doing that. I might have to start doing something else entirely, like volunteering for The Red Cross or something like that, maybe a homeless shelter or something. You know, something that's open. I'm bored, and I think I had the virus a while ago, so I think I'm safe now. I can help other people. But I wasn't able to be tested, so maybe no one will believe me, about having had it.

It's scary times but I am holding on to my faith that all will be well. No plans for our stimulus package yet. Just saving it for sure.

No stimulus money yet and not real plans on how to spend it.
How unfortunate that society thinks some of us are expendable
and others are not. It isn't only the old and sick who are dying.
    Stay safe and healthy.

More people need to realize that Jesus learned obedience through the things that He suffered, and so can we!

Each moment, especially now is a gift.

They are planning to open up the economy here on May first. They say it is going to be a slow process. People are protesting here to open up the economy. I don't know what the rush is because the rate of the infected being diagnosed and dying is increasing. I am not going to go out even when they say we can. I want those numbers to drop and I being a healthy middle aged adult do not want to get sick. I think its bogus to say that only the chronically ill and seniors get this because people of all ages have been dying. Hopefully people will still keep their distance when they are out and about. We need for this virus to go away!

I work with the elderly. I lost a resident to it. People who can say "It's just the elderly" have no soul.
