After a week of stumbling and a couple of days of doing my best to keep my calories at 1200--yesterday i had no appetite at all and i decided not to force myself to eat. Going without three meals in one day was not going to hurt me. I drank Premier Protein drinks for breakfast and lunch and at dinnertime had a few Triscuits and some cheese.,...so I didn't totally go without calories or nutrition.
Yesterday I weighed in at 186. And today (drumroll) 183! That is a new low for this journey My previous low was 185 ; and 183 matches my low weight in 2017 after my mom died and I lost a lot of weight due to grieving. Maybe those few days last week of eating too much, served to kickstart my metabolism and then came two days of 1200 calories and one day of 600 calories to seal the deal.
Whatever it was; however it worked, I am grateful and ecstatic.
So if you are struggling today with a slip up, do not think that all is lost. Do not waste emotional energy by hating yourself. Just dust yourself off and begin once more to keep fighting. Even if you don't lose 3 pounds quickly--if you are doing the best you can, rewards will come. Don't give up hope.
