Me, too, Margaret! I went on Monday, and it looks like you went on Wednesday! I was starting to see what I'm going to look like when I stop coloring my hair, and I found out I'm not quite ready to take that big step! And when my hair gets too long, the top loses all volume. Haircuts are a must, and I can't do it myself. Kana offered, but I said no thanks, sweetie.

Hey--your salon gave you a drink while you waited for the color to take hold! My salon usually does that but this time told me they can't do it under the circumstances. I often decline their offer, but this time, being told I couldn't have a drink made me really want one. Theirs is the best instant coffee I've ever had. Zannen.

But I was impressed with the techniques they've developed to work around the face mask. They twisted the straps around my ears and wrapped my ears securely in Saran wrap. It was strange and sounds were muffled, but it worked, and my mask didn't get wet during the shampoo or stained during the coloring. Weird but interesting.

Your hair looks great, and I bet you feel so much better! I know I do! These things are important to us girls, not to mention we must all do our best to help the industry, which must be really suffering right now. The whole time I was there (it takes almost three hours for the whole process), most of the stylists were just standing around with nothing to do. I really don't want my salon to go out of business because I love my stylist and don't want to lose her (she cuts Kana's hair as well). Looks like you've found a great stylist, too!

Looks fantastic. Not open here, but waiting for 'the call'! My poor fur baby gets groomed on the 13th, at least that's a good thing!

woo woo - look at you - all glossy and smooth. Congratulations on scoring an appointment.

And thank you for the bloglove on my kayak post. Retirement, at its best, is the time to be the teenager you wanted to be - without exams and without having to work to get money to show up in your bank. All the effort you've made to live wisely or carefully pays off and now you get to play with big girl toys. Maybe you'd like a bike - or maybe you've always wanted to try some art adventure - whatever you may have thought you might like to try deserves to be given a look, maybe even a chance. It's really up to you. I think you're going to love this phase of life.
