Trying harder

Monday, May 18, 2020

This week I'm trying to get back into some kind of workout routine schedule. The first week or two of staying put I managed to continue exercising. That fell by the wayside with cold weather, lukewarm attitude and overall grumpiness. Now that there is a bit of spring in the air and perhaps in my step I'm going to try exercising again.
I'm simply not interested in using my home-style weights and equipment. I have plenty of colored latex bands for different resistance. One that has a ball in it to use as a catch for using a door/ door frame to hold the bands in the air like cable-cross equipment. A balance ball. Free weights.
They all sit in a thin layer of pollen since I've kept the windows open!

Doing my simple routine -- push ups, sit ups, mountaineers, squats -- plus yoga stretch and Henry walks most days . . . and now there will be golfing!!

But: I'm doing it from the basis that I feel good when I do it . . . and it really DOES feel good!!

Good luck. Motivation can find so many darn hiding places, it's hard to find sometimes.

I can bliss out for an hour, even two! at the gym but also am not interested in the equipment in the corner of my bedroom.

I am ignoring all calls to bread, sweets and carbs henceforth.

emoticon I know the feeling. A lot of my current "strength training" consists of moving one set of dumbbells or another from one room to another, and then, not working out with them! emoticon

Hang in there. Motivation will return. I know this from years of experience! emoticon

I workout exclusively at home, no gym ever...stow and go deal. If you're so inclined, check out some of my favorite sites listed on my page. I’m betting Team Body Project MIIIIIIGHT get your workout mojo going.

Here’s the link to the workout they just released. It’s happening here this morning, part1 for today.
Sweat is magic...calms my brain, improves my mood, and muscle is a fat furnace. Just saying...

    Be well...
