Still stormin'

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

We got another thunder/lightning storm yesterday. It was blue sky, sunshine, then one miles-long black cloud that dumped on us like buckets in a movie set. We are set to get another today. Our heat/humidity continue, but Sunday-Tuesday are sunny and in the 60's. We cannot wait.
I talked to Buddy and he said that U.S 23 is now opened at Omer, so he got through to his place in Oscoda. There was water across the highway, but just enough that you wanted to slow down, not even up to the bottom of the hubcap.

Our church is now opened, but I will not go yet. Distancing is not enough in an enclosed space. ONE air filtration system will not work for me. It is not worth blood clots, stroke, holey lungs, brain swelling, etc. I continue to worship online.

Well, up here it is med-dark GREY all the way across....and humid and 81 down from 87 before. I do hope we are not in for a huge ugly storm. I don't need that.

Let us know what happens to you down there later....praying it misses you!

I did go to church last Friday, but they had a special service for older people with very few people and the windows wide open. I didn't feel very threatened, but there are very few cases in our county. They are limiting numbers in all our services, but most of the Saturday and Sunday services are way too crowded for me.

We're supposed to have some cooler weather on the way, too. Yay!

I’m with you on that one. Our pastor is chomping at the bit to get us reopened but we aren’t in a region where that’s allowed yet. He is staying to put together an outdoor service that will allow us to stay in our cars. That should be interesting. I would go to the car service but will still pass on indoor services when they open. No way am I taking that risk. It’s still hot & humid her too. Storms forecast for later today & tomorrow. Then A glorious, glorious break from this humid weather. 60-70 degree days for about a week. My kind of weather.

The Lord loves you in any building, and love isn't picky. Stay safe, and praise for the days we get!

Yes, sadly, there are just things that we have to continue doing to protect ourselves, even of others won't!

Hope your storms stopped. Expecting some tonight.

    HUGS and stay safe.
