Odds 'n Ends

Violet is 3 months old now, sweet little great-granddaughter that I haven't seen in person yet. She's a happy baby with a sweet personality already.

Violet's big sister Hazel, walking around the neighbourhood with her dad, my grandson Steve.

As y'all know by now, I went through quite a time of not being well with a bad bout of Bronchitis and, well, I still have it. I have up and down days with it and if you were to follow my posts on teams, I think you could tell which are my down days. But things are on the upswing and I'm getting there.

My niece came yesterday morning, brought my groceries. This is something she does for me every two weeks. She lives out of town and I know for sure, if she lived right close by, she'd be shopping more often for me and would be here more but I'm just so happy she does what she does! We are close in age and more like sisters than niece and aunt and we feel like sisters.

I haven't had ice cream since last year and since we've been in a hot spell this week, she brought me some and I 'indulged' yesterday on that, plus the nice lunch & iced tea she brought and a surprise fish and chip dinner last night from an unnamed 'Food Fairy' who do this in my city. I haven't been used to eating like that and have had a rather upset tummy today, not as bad though as when I first woke up. As for these 'Food Fairies', there are many of them and most remain anonymous ... you get chosen by one and asked if there is something you'd really like to have or would you like to be surprised and I said 'surprised.' These are wonderfully generous and thoughtful people and we need to hear about these kind of things that they make happen.

I really don't have much to blog about, since being sort of stuck in my apt since March 9th but I have to say, I hope it will soon be safe to open our restaurants, hair salons, other places so that we can go out, even just to sit in a restaurant for a meal or a coffee! I'm willing to wear a mask if that's what will be necessary but won't go anywhere until it's said to be safe and okay. I am a firm believer in 'better to be safe than sorry!'

We're having a hot spell right now but tomorrow will see our temps going back down to Seasonal and I'll be happy about that! I much prefer the cooler weather!! Take care, dear friends, stay well.
