What Things Have l Done Well Lately?

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

Managed my cravings.
Made a commitment to myself.
Been kind to myself.

More often I am self -critical, than looking at the good things. But there are things that I do well that I don't give myself credit for. I was taught self- promotion was a sign of vanity, to be humble to a fault. There is nothing wrong with tooting your own horn, acknowledging what we have done well. We all have strengths, before I only looked at my weaknesses. It is a challenge for me to do this. I'm great at pointing out the strengths of others. I need to practice recognizing mine.

What things have you done well lately?

Grateful -
To have guidance.
To make small changes.
For repetition.

Very nice, to acknowledge your own strengths. Women are socialized to keep our lights under a bushel . .. . but it's worth considering how when we're not kind to ourselves it may be VERY difficult to be kind to others. And then . . . kindness to US becomes job one!!

Grace is hard to extend to oneself. There’s a vast difference between pride and conceit. Recognizing our accomplishments is important. No one has as much invested in us as we do. I’m in a good place, taking care of me. Adjusting to my newer “normal.” My major accomplishment was making phone calls to schedule service related stuff that involve the exterior of our home. Talking on the phone is not a favorite of mine. Keep crushing it.

    Be well, chica...
