Ah... sleep happened..

Wednesday, June 03, 2020

I went to bed early last night and slept eight wonderful hours. I do not even recall when I last slept that long. Really. After the first grogginess, I was up and at 'em, glad that God provided what I needed.

I am up and doing housework and up and down the basement stairs. The basement is wonderfully cool.

Yesterday we took our absentee ballot applications to the township hall. A LOT of people were doing the same. I can guarantee that a lot more people will be voting this year, and differently.
Nuff said.

Today is paperwork and bills, chores and staying in from the 86% humidity and 84 degree heat. We will have to go out to the street eventually and get the empty trash can and get the mail, but that will be quick. Breathing is a chore out there for us.

So far during this whole quarantine, the only people we have been in direct contact with, spaced and masked of course, are Nick and Monika. They know absolutely nobody where they live, so we all have been away from everybody except covered trips to the store only when necessary over a month ago, so we feel comfortable with each other. I think we may go back and enjoy another day with them soon. They are so busy working on their boat, that they hesitate to take even a couple hours away from that job.

I hope that things die down here in Michigan soon, for those who are homeless due to the floods amid covid and stress from Washington D.C.. It is very real when dealing with mental and physical stressors for prolonged periods. NOw we have to fear that a leader may send troops here to deal with people that are making choices that are not good for everybody. We live kind of far from the rioters, but the threats from "above" are another stress on all of us here.

So glad you got some sleep!

As for the other, all I can do is pray for everyone involved. May we all repent, and may God have mercy on us.

I had a good nights sleep last night too. I ventured out to the store yesterday to return something hubby bought by accident only to find Kroger is not accepting any returns right now due to the virus. Employee was very nice , said to hang onto it & when they start accepting returns bring it back no matter how long it had been since being purchased. I figured as long as I was there I’d do a little shopping, masked up of course. I was going to start walking again yesterday & felt shopping would count. I spent over 45 minutes there & boy did I pay for that by the time I got home. Way too much walking way too soon.

I try not to dwell on any of what is going on. I am like the ostrich, just stick my head in the sand, that is my way of cooping. I am sure that Mr Floyd is not in favor of what others are doing right now. His death was bad enough, and those cops were at fault and these rioter are doing this for their benefit, not anyone else. We just try to relax a little about situation you can't control

I try not to dwell on it but I do keep up with it all. It will be nice when it is over. Keep feeling better.

The situation that we are in today is definitely not pleasing, hopefully all of this dies down soon. Also sleep definitely a great thing and not many people get enough of it. It’s good to get a schedule of a good amount of sleep.

There just are no words. Our own troops 'sicked' on us. **SIGH** Definitely something sick about that. But, 'nuff said.

Hope you didn't have bad storms. We had bad storms north and south of us, but just got rain here. That's not bad.

HUGS and hope you feel better.
