Halfway through 2020.

Tuesday, June 30, 2020

I'm finally starting to get back into the whole Sparkpeople routine. I felt I needed a break there for a while mentally and physically. I was not exercising, but I did continue to track my food and control my eating.

It has been a bit bumpy schedule wise. Returning to work and figuring out yet another new daily routine! I think I've figured out a good exercise/mindfulness routine that works for me. I've been doing it for the past two weeks, and I'm sticking with it. Work is very stressful for me, so I need the yoga! And I meditate at night before bed. Mondays and Thursdays are my late days, so I figure I can squeeze in some strength training for a couple of minutes on those nights. Which leaves the cardio for the days I have off.

Monday - strength training
Tuesday - yoga
Wednesday - cardio
Thursday - strength training
Friday - yoga
Saturday - cardio
Sunday - cardio

I did have my check up with my Dr. I've been trying to lower or get off my blood pressure medication. I was taking a combination of two medicines. A few weeks before my appointment, I was really dizzy and light headed and just didn't feel right. Took my blood pressure, and it was really low. So I stopped taking the one medication and continued to monitor my blood pressure to make sure I was good. It stayed at a good range. And when I went in for my appointment, I told my Dr. what had happened and what I did. She told me I can stay off the one medication, and just continue with the other. I've been taking my blood pressure daily since and it's still really good! So I've completed half of my goal with the blood pressure! emoticon So exciting! And motivating!

Looking forward to a nice lazy 4th of July weekend with my family. It's on a Saturday this year, so my husband is off which is nice! We usually go to my mom's and have a picnic and do some fireworks. I was talking to my mom and I asked her if she wanted me to bring anything. And she said 'you can bring those healthy hotdogs that you like to eat'. Gotta love it!
