It's a new month and time to really commit to both exercise and nutrition. I've been doing really well when it comes to activity but not as well when it comes to nutrition and it's time to devote equal attention to both aspects. I haven't been Sparking as much and I want to start spending more time doing that as well. I've kind of struggled a bit lately and been in kind of a depressed mood but I usually am a little down at the end of the month so I am glad the new month has started. I have a lot of ambition right now and a lot of inspiration and I am ready to start working as hard as I can towards my goals.
Nutrition: I grilled some chicken for lunch yesterday and then made a healthy supper that Fritzy actually liked yesterday (roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, & peppers with cajun seasoning and Fritzy said they were the best potatoes he ever had. I actually got him to try sweet potatoes for the first time) so nutrition is starting to get back on the right track. But we also went out and got icecream so I need to start watching how many treats I have and tracking my calories again.
Fitness: Fitness generally has been going pretty well. I'm thinking about raising my step goal again. My Fitbit is dead right now but I've been getting around at least 6K per day. So I've been doing pretty well there and I've been working out, too. I've been moving around a lot and doing a lot of chores during the day and getting plenty of exercise so I'm good on that front.
Water: I hardly drink any soda anymore, mostly sparkling water. I still have to work on drinking more regular water and tracking it.
Cigars: I have to start over with my whole money jar idea. I've been buying a lot of cigars lately and not been committed to quitting. It was really nice and really fun for a while buying things with the money out of the money jar but then I got off track and couldn't get myself back on track and I need to do a little reboot there.
Meditation: I have not meditated in a while but Fritzy got me a free meditation app on his VR and I'm going to start using that every day, too.
Sleep: Sleep is still pretty good. I'm usually pretty exhausted at the end of the day and so it's easy to go to bed.
Motivation: Overall I'm pretty motivated right now. I want to get back on track with eating and tracking my food again and in general with everything.
Non-Scale Victory: My nonscale victory yesterday was getting Fritzy to try some new vegetables. He is starting to enjoy healthy food and is actually asking for it now.
Writing: I have the next story I want to send to my editor ready to go but not sure what my next steps are going to be as far as what I want to do with my writing. So I'm not going to worry too much about it right now since I have this next story ready. For now I'm waiting on some responses and just thinking things over.
Healthy Coping: I'm going to do some journaling exercises today to help me with my stress and help me to problem solve the things that are going on in my life right now that are causing me stress.
