Blueberry Blues

Friday, July 03, 2020

I planted 6 mini-blueberry bushes last year; I ordered special blueberry soil to plant them in since our soil isn't very good; then bought special blueberry dry fertilizer to put on the plants in the spring. Nevertheless the leaves are turning yellow; so in may I dug up the mulch over them then worked in 1/4 cup more of the fertilizer. But we've had very wet may and leaves kept getting yellow.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to dig them all up and then dig a much bigger hole to put them in; and fertilize much more. I was wondering if there is a Miracle grow fertilizer for watering blueberries....

getting bummed about this.

Is there a local garden supply place where you can ask an expert? They'd know if too much rain could be the issue. I think you can also test the pH level of the soil and treat that if it's too high.I hope you can find a simpler solution than replanting them. Best wishes to you!
