Today I woke to a t-shirt weather kind of a day, and sunshine. And I decided to go out and do a guided walk (on my phone) which started and ended at the end of the road where I live!
I have an app which I really love, called iWalkCornwall - and it has great guided walks on it. It seems a bit daft to do a walk round your own town - but I find that when I do follow a walk someone else has designed, I see different things - or I see things in a different way. You can read about the walk here - and see some photos.
Today was exactly like that. Firstly it was good for me to get out of my comfort zone and venture into town - mask on of course! And I was rewarded by enjoying a wonderful walk - and noticing so many great details I've not paid attention to before.
Being a visitor in your own town is fun.
I ended my walk by getting a take-away coffee and a piece of 'bitter orange and poppy seed gluten-free cake' from the cafe - and laying down my blanket on the grass, away from the people. It was so nice.
I've discovered quite a few places now that are not 'frequented' where I can sit and relax without worrying about people coming too close!
I didn't get a good picture of my picnic spot - but here's a happy picture of me!
Today's experience has encouraged me to get out again tomorrow (after the courier has collected my latest PCR swab test for Covid-19 - I have to wait in for that; last time they came at 8am, so hoping it'll be the same again tomorrow!)
I've been invited to take part in citizen science and be willing to help test a vaccine for C19 - would you? I'm a bit unsure.................. guess I need more information.
