Today I woke to a t-shirt weather kind of a day, and sunshine. And I decided to go out and do a guided walk (on my phone) which started and ended at the end of the road where I live!

I have an app which I really love, called iWalkCornwall - and it has great guided walks on it. It seems a bit daft to do a walk round your own town - but I find that when I do follow a walk someone else has designed, I see different things - or I see things in a different way. You can read about the walk here - and see some photos.

Today was exactly like that. Firstly it was good for me to get out of my comfort zone and venture into town - mask on of course! And I was rewarded by enjoying a wonderful walk - and noticing so many great details I've not paid attention to before.

Being a visitor in your own town is fun.

I ended my walk by getting a take-away coffee and a piece of 'bitter orange and poppy seed gluten-free cake' from the cafe - and laying down my blanket on the grass, away from the people. It was so nice.

I've discovered quite a few places now that are not 'frequented' where I can sit and relax without worrying about people coming too close!

I didn't get a good picture of my picnic spot - but here's a happy picture of me!

Today's experience has encouraged me to get out again tomorrow (after the courier has collected my latest PCR swab test for Covid-19 - I have to wait in for that; last time they came at 8am, so hoping it'll be the same again tomorrow!)

I've been invited to take part in citizen science and be willing to help test a vaccine for C19 - would you? I'm a bit unsure.................. guess I need more information.

I am glad you had a nice walk. I would consider the vaccine study but like you said do more research so to get a better idea of the pros and cons.

Hmmmm...I think at our age, one should perhaps decline. Everything Covid-19 is still so new! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Not sure about the vaccine at this point. Your walk sounds lovely.

Not sure about the vaccine at this stage as the parameters for the treatment of COVID shift by the minute. Today for example we are being told that thoughts about contamination of touch surfaces is being questioned and that all the vigorous wiping down of counters and railings for example may be unnecessary. We are asked to still keep our distance and wash our hands frequently and encouraged to wear a mask in crowded spaces like public transport and shops but being outdoors is highly encouraged and unless in close contact with others masks are not needed. If you watch others with masks you soon realize that most simply don't know how to wear them properly.

I love the pic! And the cool walking app. As I keep saying, you live in such an amazing place and you are so lucky and blessed. I am so jealous and also so happy for you!
Enjoy your staycation! Perfect place for one!! I would hunt sea glass at Sennen Cove at sunrise for the rest of my life if I could. emoticon

PS. I would be willing for the vaccine. If not me, who? It’s for the greater good of every single person.

I don’t think I would be willing to test a vaccine. I’m not sure I am willing to get the vaccine when it does come out. I’m not anti-vaccine, but just like anything else I want to see the history and data on it before I get it.
