Streaking Has A New Meaning!

Today was day number 15 of a workout streak. Not all workouts were long hard workouts, some were 10 minutes, some were 60 minutes, today's was 30 minutes.

I actually tried a little tougher workout today that was supposed to be short but intense. It was tough but after I was done I wanted to keep moving, so I cranked up some 80's music on my Alexa and danced another 20 minutes.

I find it amazing how streaks can be motivating. For me, it happened on day four. I realized, wow, I've exercised at least 20 minutes for the past four days, I wonder how many days I can exercise in a row. On day six, I almost didn't get in a workout, but I wouldn't let it happen because I didn't want to break my streak. So, I did a walk around the block - which for me is 1/2 mile of hill work. That was the day I would have given up, but I didn't.

The moral of the story is that you have to find your motivation. For me right now, it is my exercise streak, for you, it might be your "why". Our motivations may change over time - that is ok as well.

Right now though, streaking is for me!!
