Post Ablation

Thursday, July 16, 2020

Well, it has been quite the experience.

I am still weak but trying to do a bit more each day.

Funny thing, I thought I would have pain in my heart, but I don't.

One of the places in my right groin that they punctured would not quit bleeding my night in the hospital. The doctor came and stopped the bleeding. It was not fun. They put pressure over and over, until he came and gave some shots then put a huge roll of gauze and they taped me from one side to the other for 3 hours. That stopped it. I found sticky residue several days after. I am also black and blue still.

It has now been 8 days since I arrived home, and we purchased a Kardia mobile for taking an EKG. I have been normal.

Twice I had some fluttering and was faint feeling. It did not last long. It is too soon to tell if this is a cure for atrial fibrillation, but I believe it is.

I am not supposed to bend over for 10 days or lift for 2 weeks. I bent over yesterday to pet the cat, oops, I forgot. Nothing happened.

Dh is home taking care of me. The church ladies are purchasing restaurant food for me and dh to eat every other day. I received the last of that yesterday. I had a vegetable plate. I am sure it was too much sodium.

Now I will try to cook. I did manage to make soup one day and it did me in.

It will get better day by day.
