21 Pound Weight Loss? In ONE WEEK??

Well it has been an interesting week. I went from weighing 189 to 168 and then changed the scale batteries and found that I “really” weigh 182. Which is disappointing but I suspected something of the sort all week because I looked and felt thinner, but not 22 lbs thinner ! Also if I had really lost that much weight in a week…it would indicate something serious going on medically.
There is still an area for concern and that is a marked decrease in appetite. (Thus the actual 7 lb weight loss in a week.) I have eaten almost nothing all week. Not to lose weight, but simply because everything tastes and feels like a mouthful of sawdust. I’m not terribly worried because I’m mid-course in a 21 day of antibiotic treatment. I know that some ABX can have that side effect….So I will take it as a gift and do expect that when I’m done with the medicine, my appetite will return.
I’ve had a goal now for several months to get into the 170s…most of this month was spent in the upper 8o’s and now I’m at 182…which is close. Counting today, that gives me three days in which to meet that goal. I think I need to eat some more because I seem to have stopped losing. My metabolism has probably all but shut down after a week of not eating. Today I will try to eat more. Too bad I don’t have any ice cream. Lol. I think I will plan on making two or three protein shakes today. I always find it easier to drink cold liquids like milkshakes, than it is for me to eat something like a hamburger.
So that is my story and this is my plan. I’ll let you know if I make it to 179 by Saturday. (Aug. 1st).

    I love protein shakes!! I swear I could live on them alone, but them steaks and tacos are good, too. You are doing amazing in your dedication. I am inspired to continue although my weight lose has only been 2 pounds this month. Keep us posted on Saturday's weigh-in emoticon

    Don't shock your stomach with a bunch of hard to digest foods right off the bat. You're gonna hurt if you do. You're doing the right things by easing back into solid foods. Good luck and hope you find out what's up with not eating issues 🙏.
