The other day as I was walking through my yard, I heard a bird singing. As quietly as I could I crept around trying to find it. There it was sitting in my Japanese Maple tree. I stood still and watched her for a minute or two as she sang her heart out. What a lift to my spirits. I hope it lifts yours too, just seeing her.
ALthough it was hot, I got some yard laps in yesterday. I walked for over 40 minutes but had to take it easy. It felt good at first to be out walking. Then as the sweat began to pour on me, and breathing became an issue, I slowed down. I have learned to listen to m y body for when it is time to quit.
I came inside and drank plenty of water during the next hour. I do not like my water very cold. SO I only put two piece of ice in it for a huge glass - 32 ounces.
It is a gloomy day today. Weather predictions are lots of rain and wind over the next few days. They are still not sure if Isias will be a hurricane when it reached us. The last time we had a bad hurricane this early in the season was Irene several years ago.
I hope you all have a blessed day!
