Moving My Classroom
Wednesday, August 05, 2020
After 7 years, I've moved my classroom to my home office. For the past 5 months (including ESY in July) I have been teaching at the dining room table with the kitchen as a backdrop.
Remote teaching is a challenge for me and I accept it. I am taking 3 2-hour seminars on Seesaw, Flipgrid, Screencastify and Edpuzzle. On the suggestion of my technical person, I am studying Nearpad and Slidemania. I am also reading Tech Like a Pirate by Matt Maher.
Currently I have a basic working knowledge of Google classroom. I hope to add some excitement and fun with my new knowledge of using technical tools in the Remote classroom.
Don't ever tell me that teachers get the summer off. We work really hard to be able teacher of students And that takes a lot of time imagination and learning on our part. I will be ready by September for an exciting year of teaching.
