Obesity Canada Resources

Obesity Canada -- which put out those new guidelines redefining obesity that I blogged about yesterday -- has an absolutely amazing website!! obesitycanada.ca/
Of course I don't know if it works "only in Canada" -- I hope not -- but it's full of remarkable resources and information. FREE. There are on-line forums for both members of the public living with obesity and for health care professionals working in obesity-related specialities.
And in particular, Obesity Canada has developed some great and timely videos on obesity during a pandemic . . . I've watched a few.
Good stuff on the correlation between COVID intensity and obesity. On the effect of increasingly prevalent fat jokes/memes during the pandemic. On emotional eating during a pandemic. Yeah. Including one vlog aimed specifically at strategies for supporting kids who may also be overeating during these stressful times. With people participating in the discussions from all over the world -- which makes me hopeful they'll also be accessible for viewing by non-Canadian Sparkies who may be interested.
Until those guidelines came out, I didn't know Obesity Canada even existed. What great work they're doing!!
Now I know -- from comments -- that there are a few people wondering whether we've had to buy a new brush for Henry or found his old one.
Yes, he really DID hide it -- semi-buried, behind the garage. And only after he had chewed off quite a few bristles!!
His is bright blue. I spotted it, I brought it in, I washed off the mud (there was a small worm squirming away among the softer-side bristles!!!).
And: when Henry saw it in my hand, he just rolled his eyes at me..
His eyes are SO expressive!!
Yup, the game is up!! HEARTFELT sigh.
