A & I W2 -- Sons & Daughters

Sunday, August 16, 2020

We had 3 choices for our Blog assignment for the A & I team. I chose National Sons & Daughters Day.

I have a daughter, Amber, who is 19 yrs old now. She 'virtually' graduated this year. All things considered, it was a pretty good graduation. Sad, tho, that she didn't get to walk across the stage to accept her diploma, no Homecoming game/dance, no Senior Ball, etc. But, she did graduate and the schools here did the best job they could, given the circumstances. They did an AWESOME job with the graduation pictures -- a big huge celebration,

And then they came by the house and dropped off a Goodie Package

But Amber handled the whole thing better than I did. She was more upset about the dance. And we came SO close to buying her Homecoming gown in March, before the quarantine hit. emoticon

She's now working with a friend of mine, who buys abandoned houses, fixes/guts/renovates them and then sells them. Hard work but she seems to love it. They're working on this one house that they've practically had to re-build. Floors & walls had to come down & rebuilt after doing the foundation. But her intentions are to go to college, take some psych classes and disabled/special needs children education classes. She's been offered a position at Peaceable Kingdom www.varietytexas

in 2021 but she needs those classes.

Anyway, she's my one & only.
