My day today consisted of getting dressed and keeping warm! Wow has our weather changed quickly but I know we're going to get more hot days before Autumn sets right in. I'm not complaining, I love the coolness of Autumn but when my apartment gets too cool and our building's heat hasn't been turned on yet ... how do you keep your nose and hands warm??
No sleep in my bed last night, so I sat in my recliner in living room and dozed off and on. I've felt okay today but realize that we need good sleep as well as healthy food and exercises. Speaking of which ... this month's goal is for me to do my leg exercises at least 5 days a week and boy can I get lax with that! I thought if I wrote that here it would help me see how foolish it is not to do them more!! Well, it's never too late to turn over a new leaf!
My eating has been at the lower spectrum of my calorie range and I will bring that up more. I've lost a lot of my taste and appetite - temporary, I'm sure.
Shopping ... have you been out shopping or are you still leery on doing so? I've only been grocery shopping twice since March and those two times were in the past 6 weeks. So far, the grocery store has not been packed with people so it was very nice getting my groceries. I've been to the Tan Jay store and bought a few items of clothing, but only went there because they are going out of business and had a good sale on. It's the only store that I bought my clothes so now I won't know where to go! But when I've been out, I wear a mask, carry a hand sanitizer in my purse and use it often and I never, not ever, get close to people! So I feel I'm being careful, cautious and I should be okay. I had to start going out, after months of self-isolation, I was starting to really talk to myself, or should I say 'thinking out loud?' Since my canary died too, I've had absolutely nothing to talk to so, out I go again but carefully!
This is my six month old great-granddaughter Violet and though I've yet to meet her in person, I can tell by her photos what a sweet little girl she is!
And this is Violet's 3 year old sister Hazel, a sweetie pie and loads of fun!
Anyway, that's been my day. Just doing daily chores, catching up on a bit of snooze, and for that I got out of my pj's and into jeans and pullover, LOL. Tomorrow I want to go down to the lobby and check my mail box, that gets me out of my apartment.
Enjoy your evening! "CHEERS!"
