19 years ago, not only did the lives of Americans change, but the lives of humanity changed as well. Today we honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom against those who would see us dead.
For myself 9-11, has a feeling of dread that I would never forget. My mother at that time was still working for the DOD, and I knew every day she had meetings in the Pentagon. Her meetings were held in the same area where the plane crashed into. At the same time I was a student at the Law Enforcement Training Academy, just got done with a law class, and we stepped out of the class and saw the planes hit the Towers, and then they reported that the Pentagon was hit as well. Immediately I called my Mom, but got no reply, I would continue to try for hours, finally some of the lines cleared and I was finally able to get through. And when I heard my Mom's voice, I literally fell and cried. I was so worried that she was one of the victims, I was relieved. She had told me that she had called out sick that day and that her meeting was canceled. I think back to that day, all the time. And I pray 🙏 for the rest of those people who lost their family that day.
So in closing, what were you doing during that time?
Be safe and God Bless you all and God Bless our fallen and their families!
