Ok. Kids these days! I have two teens. One is 19 and doing college virtually this semester. One is 15 (almost 16). He is high schooling virtually. They are always telling each other they are built different. Then, they tell me, too. I have no clue what exactly that means, BUT aren't we all built differently?
We all have things we like about ourselves and things we would like to change or improve or lose(ie., weight) My take away from all this is, so what if I am built differently! God made me and God made everyone else in His image! And, He loves me and everyone else the same. He is not sitting in heaven saying, "You need to lose that weight." He is saying , "I love you, precious daughter" What a relief!
Maybe if I would rest in the peace of knowing God loves me and calls me His, I would quit comparing and obsessing over my appearance.
Time to head inside and share this revelation with two great kids.
49 and feeling fine!
