My Adventures in spark land...thank-you sparkies, corona, car update, oh my!

Wednesday, September 23, 2020

"Corona Virus has turned us all into dogs. We room the house looking for food. We're told 'no' we can't get too close to strangers. And we get real excited about car rides and walks." ~Unknown

1st of all, I want to say, I saw this on pinterest and it made me giggle.

2nd of all, I want to say, thank you to all my sparkie friends. I became aware of the corona virus because of you all so thank you!

In May when our state opened, our county had just reported 1 death. The man wasn't even in our county during the lock down but his address was in our county. Our locals got very sloppy. At times I have felt almost bullied because I wear a mask. I only go shopping 1 time a week. I spend the weekends with my brother and his family and my son and we are outdoors the whole time. I watch sermons online. Sunday I noticed at the church at the end of the block there was no cars around. Since May that parking lot has been filled with cars. I called a member and she told me they were running the church as if there was no corona. No one was wearing masks, etc. Some people from one of their many small groups got the corona and now the people from that small group are exposed including the pastor so they went back to church online only. While talking to this person, I realized she was clueless about anything concerning the corona. I was totally shocked! Thank you dear friends for making me so aware of the corona! Also our numbers are growing daily. We are close to 200! This person said 'they must have just started to test people in our county.' LOL-no that is not it!

emoticon Yesterday in my blog I talked about Hallmark's Fall Harvest Bucket List. H&F said this recipe was for drink your favorite pumpkin spices beverage. I believe it's for make fall scented candles or potpourri. Yesterday I added one on potpourri. Anyhow I thought these were fun and cute:

emoticon Car update....I walked over the title of the car to my insurance agency yesterday. My son is having car issues so his GF picked him up and they went and cleaned out the car and said their good byes! Now comes the hardest part of all, finding a car for me!

emoticon The Disney movie I watched was 'The Big Green' from 1995. I have watched it before.

emoticon Twenty-twenty has been a crazy year. I found a list of a 100 things to do during this quarantine. #38 is scrapbooking. I wish I had the room to finish all my son's scrapbooks. I have only grades 10-12 left to finish.

emoticon What made my heart smile yesterday? Everyone commenting on my fall photo on the community friend feed.

emoticon my sparkie friends for everything!

I hope you find a good car soon. And bravo for sticking to your guns and being smart about the virus even when so many around you are unable to believe what's going on around them.

The Missouri governor won't issue a mask order. He's allowed everything to open again. He's up for reelection and has been holding rallies and events all over the state. On the news tonight, the big story is that he and his wife tested positive for Covid-19.

The candles are really unique. Maybe you can save the scrapbook project for this winter when there's snow and ice and you can't get out.

Good luck with the car search. Stay safe. Be well. emoticon

I am late reading today. It was a busy day.

Some people are extremely careful and others are very careless. I stay home as much as possible and I wear a mask. My husband wants to drive north to see the changing colors and I am dragging my feet because I don't want to go anywhere but here until things are safer.

I do believe that a lot of churches are also not following safety measures. Many don't wear masks. I have heard some say that Corona is just another flu. Well, I know that this is MUCH worse than the regular flu. I am shocked by how many people are so careless. I always wear a mask into any building. Take care. Hope that you find the car that you like soon. Sorry about your son's car as well.

Your quote is so true. Some people don't care about this virus. We have people come in to our store in groups and don't even wear masks.

    Take care and stay safe.

**SIGH** I cannot believe the # of people who are so utterly careless. And the sad part is that they are not only careless w/their own life, but many, many others who are potentially exposed. I will keep doing the responsible things.

HUGS and good luck to you finding a new car. Not easy.

It's really good that you are within walking distance of the insurance office. Make sure you get a car you are completely comfortable in.
